Sony Bravia KDL-46Z5100 46 Inch HD Television

As you guys may have read here, some times I tend to favor Sony products a little over other products although I try to keep my personal preferences out when doing reviews. Some reviews are fun to do others not as fun, but here one I loved to do.

The Sony BRAVIA 46″ KDL-46Z5100 is an awesome television set, perhaps one of the best in its class. The cabinet in this set is very thin. It is less than 4 inches deep ( 3-3/8″ according to specifications). Has a max resolution of 1080p ( Full HD ) and features Motionflow technology offering an astonishing 240Hz refresh rates. An essential feature for those of you who love sports or high speed action movies.

This set has a lot of surprises built in it. One of the most interesting features that this set has is its internet capability, allowing you to stream music and audio from online sources. It also allows you to set up widgets that can help you keep important information handy like the current weather, date and updates related to news and sports and upcoming events. If you are not really sure about what widgets are, you can get an idea on what they are if press they dashboard button on a Mac computer. You can personalize this widgets with relative ease and can be removed or hidden from the screen when you don’t need to have them around.

Now on to the tech specs of this HDTV television set. Another of its great features is its Progressive CineMotion. reverse 3:2 pulldown. A feature that aims to correct the reproduction of material that was originally recorded on films like movies. It also has another feature that is geared towards the reproduction of material that was originally recorded on film called 24p TrueCinema. This great feature aims to recreate the apparent motion that is created in movie theaters which is 24 frames per second, a frame rate that is changed to a higher one when movies are adapted and formated to work on home systems. The dynamic contrast ration on the Bravia KDL-46Z5100 is 100,000:1 and has 7 different HD inputs and an additional USB port for added support and compatibility with other gear such as mp3 players, cell phones, pen drives and more.

In conclusion the Sony Bravia KDL-46Z5100 is one of the leading products in its class in terms of image quality. The same quality that can always be expected from Sony. No only are images on this set breath taking, the set itself look sleek, and very modern.
